Premium Cutting Die Manufacturing in Kansas City

Cutlite Duo + Rotary Kansas City Full Line Plant

At Butler Brothers Steel Rule Die Company, every new machine install represents more than added capacity—it represents a step forward in our mission to support customers with speed, precision, and reliability. This month, we proudly completed our 4th successful machine install at our Kansas City Full Line Plant capable of manufacturing both flat and rotary cutting dies entirely in-house with all new equipment after the tragic fire in January.

This expansion strengthens our commitment to serving converters with industry-leading responsiveness. By bringing more processes under one roof, we reduce lead times, increase production flexibility, and ensure tighter control over quality—benefits that directly support your throughput and your bottom line.

Building Kansas City’s Full Line Plant

The completion of our fourth machine isn’t just a milestone—it’s the foundation of a manufacturing ecosystem built for speed and precision. As this plant scales, our customers will see the impact in three core areas:

1. Faster Turnarounds

With expanded capacity and a more efficient workflow, we’re prepared to deliver shorter lead times than ever before. Fewer bottlenecks mean faster movement from order to delivery and more reliable scheduling for your plant floor.

2. Higher Precision at Every Step

Modern equipment allows us to cut, assemble, and finish dies with tighter tolerances and greater consistency. Whether you run flat or rotary tooling, this means cleaner cuts, better performance, and longer tool life.

3. A Fully Integrated Manufacturing Line

Having a complete range of die production equipment on site allows us to eliminate outsourcing and streamline communication. When every phase of manufacturing happens in one place, quality control strengthens and efficiency improves.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, our focus is clear:

Deliver the fastest turnaround times in our history, backed by the highest precision we’ve ever achieved.

The growth in Kansas City positions us to:

  • Expand production capacity for both flat and rotary dies
  • Support customers with quicker responses during peak demand
  • Complete more jobs simultaneously without compromising accuracy
  • Continue investing in technology that improves consistency and tool performance

This installation marks an exciting step in our evolution—one that reinforces the trust customers place in Butler Brothers to keep their lines running and their operations competitive.

The Butler Brothers Commitment

Our customers depend on us not just for dies, but for confidence—confidence that their tools will arrive on time, built right, and ready to perform. The ongoing development of our Kansas City Full Line Plant reflects that commitment.

With four major machines now fully operational and more to come, we’re building a facility designed around your needs: speed, precision, consistency, and service that feels like a partnership.
