Production Terms
Our Production Terms & Policy outlines the standards, expectations, and procedures that guide all custom work at Butler Brothers. From lead times and capacity limits to approval requirements, file submissions, and payment terms, this policy ensures clarity and accountability on every order. Because most of our work is made-to-order, all sales are final and subject to current production capacity. We reserve the right to adjust timelines, reject unsafe or misleading files, and limit or cancel orders at our discretion. Exceptions may apply in certain cases, and the most current version of this policy always governs active jobs.
Butler Brothers Production Terms & Policy
At Butler Brothers, we deliver high-performance cutting dies and tooling with precision, speed, and consistency. These production terms are designed to create clarity, ensure accountability, and support an efficient workflow for every project we take on.
Lead Times & Turnaround
Standard turnaround times depend on the job type, complexity, and production queue. Timelines are provided at the time of quoting or ordering. Rush jobs may be accommodated based on availability and will incur additional charges.
Lead times begin after all required approvals are received. Delays caused by incomplete files, late approvals, or requested changes may extend production time. Exceptions may apply.
Capacity & Scheduling
All orders are subject to current production capacity. We balance fast lead times with quality standards, which means production slots are scheduled based on available resources, labor, and priority level.
If capacity is full or nearing full, orders may be delayed or pushed to the next available window. We communicate proactively when this happens, and may offer expedited options where possible.
We reserve the right to prioritize work based on urgency, scope, and order history. Exceptions may apply based on customer need or strategic alignment.
Custom Work & Approval
Most Butler Brothers jobs are custom-built to order. By submitting a job, you confirm that all files, instructions, and specifications are accurate and final.
It is your responsibility to review and approve any proofs, drawings, or production files prior to the start of manufacturing. Once approved, changes may not be possible without incurring delays or additional costs. Exceptions may apply if production has not yet begun.
We reserve the right to reject orders that include inappropriate, misleading, or unusable content.
File Submissions
All files submitted must be safe to open, free of viruses, and final. Submitting malicious or intentionally deceptive files may result in permanent denial of service and potential legal action.
By submitting any file or project details, you acknowledge responsibility for its accuracy and agree that it’s approved for use in production unless stated otherwise.
Changes, Cancellations, & Reorders
Change or cancellation requests must be submitted as early as possible. Once materials have been staged or production has started, we may be unable to stop or modify the order.
In some cases, partial or full charges may still apply even if a cancellation is accepted. Reorders are welcome, but results may vary slightly due to updates in material, tooling, or process. Exceptions may apply.
Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all payment terms are Net 30 from invoice date. Orders may be delayed, paused, or denied due to outstanding balances. We may also require prepayment for certain jobs, especially for new accounts or specialty work. Exceptions may apply.
No payments are collected through our website. All billing is handled directly through our internal invoicing process.
No Returns / No Refunds
All products are made-to-order and therefore non-refundable and non-returnable. Once a job enters production, the order is final.
In the rare case of a verified internal error, we may offer to correct or replace the product at our discretion. Exceptions may apply upon review.
Use & Safety
All products must be used as intended and in accordance with standard industrial practices. Improper use, unsafe handling, or modifications outside intended design void any support or replacement options.
We are not responsible for damage, injury, or downtime resulting from misuse or improper application of our products. Exceptions may apply in documented training engagements or specialty support agreements.
Intellectual Property & File Usage
Customer-submitted files remain the property of the customer. However, by submitting them for production, you grant us permission to use them for manufacturing purposes and internal reference.
Butler Brothers retains ownership of all proprietary designs, templates, CAD layouts, production methods, and internal tools. Unauthorized reproduction, reuse, or distribution of our work is strictly prohibited. Exceptions may apply where licensing or written agreements exist.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to reject, limit, or cancel any order at our sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, orders that present production complications, violate our internal standards, or are deemed technically or operationally infeasible.
Policy Updates
These terms are subject to change at any time. The most recent version will apply to all current and future orders unless otherwise agreed in writing.
